How use keypress ringtones with the Ericsson composer/melody maker

First, ensure that your Ericsson has a composer/melody maker function. This was usually a feature of older Ericsson phones. If you don't have this feature, try our premium Sony Ericsson polyphonic ringtones or  mono ring tones. • Select Menu 

• Scroll to Settings and select "yes"

• Scroll to edit melody and press yes

• Find the ring tone you want on our free ringtones page and then key it in. 

Ericsson composer tips:

• LP : Long Press (hold until note becomes capitalized)

• SP : Short press

• Follow the ringtones keypress in sequence.

• Commas are used to separate the notes - do not enter these.  Be careful not to key in the codes too quickly otherwise the tones within the tune may not register properly.

• Pressing and holding the CLR button will erase the ringtone sequence.

• You can scroll backwards and forwards throughout the tone code sequence by utilizing the << and >> keys. 

• Numbers 1 - 9 will insert notes into the ringtones sequence. 1 gives a C and 9 a high D. Holding down a number key will make the note longer.

• The # key increases or decreases the tone pitch. Press once to make a note a sharper (#), and twice to make it a flatter. Pressing the key three times will return the note to normal.

• The zero key takes a note up or down one octave. 

• The CLEAR key will delete everything left of the cursor.

• ( ) means u. Hold the key until the note becomes a capital letter
  

Bear in mind that the Ericsson format is restricted to only two note lengths and there is no way to vary the tempo - so in some cases, a keypress tone will be inferior to a tone entered into a Nokia.
